For the vast majority of people who just need to sketch a room, communicate a layout or take a quick site measurement, that level of complexity is completely unnecessary. BenCAD exists to fill that gap.

Currently: BenCAD does not require an account, login or sign up. We do not collect any personal data. No cookies are set. No tracking is in place. Your drawings exist only in your browser and are never sent to any server.
Analytics (future): We intend to add anonymous, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how BenCAD is used. This may include pages visited, time spent and device type. We will update this policy before implementing any analytics and provide clear notice.
Pro & Premium accounts (future): If you choose to create an account to access paid features, we will collect your email address, encrypted password and payment information. Payment data is handled entirely by our payment processor (Stripe) and is never stored on our servers. We will update this policy fully before launching paid tiers.
BenCAD currently sets no cookies whatsoever. If this changes we will update this policy and display a clear notice to users before any cookies are set.
As we currently collect no personal data, there is nothing to use. When paid accounts are introduced, any data collected will be used solely to provide and improve the BenCAD service. We will never sell your data to third parties. We will never use your data for advertising purposes.
We do not share any personal data with third parties. When payment processing is introduced, Stripe will process payment data under their own privacy policy which can be viewed at stripe.com/privacy. We will never sell, rent or trade your personal information.
If you are located in the UK or European Economic Area you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

BenCAD is served over HTTPS. Your drawings are processed entirely within your own browser and are never transmitted to or stored on any external server. When account features are introduced we will implement industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit.
BenCAD is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data please contact us at [email protected] and we will take steps to delete it promptly.
We will update this privacy policy as BenCAD grows and new features are added — particularly before implementing analytics or paid accounts. The date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent update. Continued use of BenCAD after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

BenCAD is a browser-based 2D floor plan and technical drawing tool. It is provided as-is, free of charge at its core tier, with optional paid tiers (Pro and Premium) available. BenCAD runs entirely within your browser. Your drawings are not stored on our servers unless you explicitly use a cloud save feature.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any aspect of BenCAD at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuation of the service.
You agree to use BenCAD only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:
— Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile or extract the source code of BenCAD
— Use BenCAD to create any product that directly competes with BenCAD using our code or design
— Attempt to circumvent any licensing or payment mechanism
— Use BenCAD in any way that could damage, overburden or impair our servers or infrastructure
— Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when using BenCAD
BenCAD, including its code, design, logo, brand name and all associated intellectual property, is owned exclusively by the operator of BenCAD. All rights are reserved.
The drawings and plans you create using BenCAD are your own. You retain full ownership of any content you create. By using BenCAD you do not transfer any rights in your drawings to us.
Paid tiers (Pro and Premium) are planned for future release. When available, the following terms will apply:
— Pro is a one-time payment granting permanent access to Pro features
— Premium is a recurring subscription billed monthly or annually
— Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time — access continues until the end of the billing period
— Refunds are handled on a case by case basis — contact us within 14 days of purchase
— Prices may change with reasonable notice to existing subscribers
BenCAD is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that BenCAD will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of viruses or other harmful components.
Drawings produced using BenCAD are for reference and planning purposes only. They should not be used as a substitute for professionally prepared architectural or engineering drawings where such drawings are legally required.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BenCAD and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use BenCAD.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of BenCAD shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £10, whichever is greater.
BenCAD may integrate with third party services including payment processors (Stripe) and analytics providers. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of any third party services.
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of BenCAD shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

BenCAD is a general purpose floor plan and technical drawing tool intended for planning, visualisation and communication purposes only. The drawings and plans produced using BenCAD are not a substitute for professionally prepared architectural, structural, engineering or surveying drawings.
Where professional drawings are legally required — including but not limited to planning applications, building regulations submissions, structural calculations or construction contracts — you must engage a qualified and appropriately regulated professional. BenCAD drawings should not be submitted in place of such documentation.
BenCAD provides tools to help you draw and annotate floor plans based on measurements and information you provide. The accuracy of any drawing produced using BenCAD depends entirely on the accuracy of the input provided by the user.
We make no warranty that drawings produced in BenCAD will be accurate, complete or suitable for any particular purpose. Dimensions, areas and annotations displayed by BenCAD are indicative only and should always be verified against physical measurements before being relied upon for any practical purpose.
Planning permission, building regulations approval and other statutory consents in the United Kingdom and elsewhere require drawings prepared to specific standards by qualified professionals. BenCAD drawings do not meet these standards and must not be submitted to any local authority, planning department or building control body as part of a formal application without review and endorsement by an appropriately qualified professional.
BenCAD accepts no liability for any refused application, enforcement action, fine or other consequence arising from the use of BenCAD drawings in any formal or statutory process.
BenCAD drawings must not be used as the sole basis for any construction, structural alteration, demolition or other building work. Any construction activity must be carried out in accordance with drawings prepared by a suitably qualified architect, structural engineer or other relevant professional, and must comply with all applicable building regulations, codes and standards.
BenCAD drawings may be used for general communication, early-stage planning and internal reference purposes within a commercial context. However, they should not be incorporated into legally binding contracts, tender documents or specifications without verification by a qualified professional. BenCAD accepts no liability for any commercial loss arising from reliance on drawings produced using the tool.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BenCAD and its operator shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense — whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise — arising from your use of BenCAD or reliance on any drawing, measurement or annotation produced using the tool. This includes but is not limited to loss arising from inaccurate dimensions, incorrect area calculations, planning refusals, building defects or contractual disputes.
